Recently, the Head Student campaign has probably caught your attention. There were six candidates from Year 12 who all did an amazing job sharing their views and ideas for the school. After the three stages of the campaign, surveys, individual interviews, and a debate and question time, we voted for this year's head students. Vladimir and Young Seo were successful. So, how did they campaign? What ideas do they have for the school? What will they be able to bring to the role?

Vladimir stated, “My main priorities in the campaign were making sure that all students trust me and to represent them and the school as a whole.” He wants to make sure that student voices are heard and that requests students make will be heard and discussed. A way that he wants to do this is to bring more opportunities to the Student Guild. Vladimir made it evident, that among his many other points, he wanted to show he could be trusted and reliable. This was evidently shown by him receiving the role. Vladimir is always welcome for anyone to message him on teams or send him an email about ideas or concerns they have for the school.

Young Seo was our second head student this year. Young Seo doesn’t have any specific goals for the school and has no promises either. “I don’t want to make any promises,”she states, “As the head student, I will work conductively with other members of the student guild and other students.” Young Seo had a very engaging video that everyone enjoyed. She had excellent communication skills as she was able to get her idea across to lots of different students. As well as this, she wants to discuss matters of student well-being. Young Seo also wants people to know that she is also available if you want to talk with her.

Vladimir and Young Seo both had amazing campaigns and have amazing ideas for how they want to improve the school whether these are ideas that they already have or if they want to include students in these conversations. Both head students are welcome to you to email them or message them on teams if you have any questions, concerns, worries or if you just want to have a chat.
