Logos are important because it grabs attention, makes a strong first impression and are the symbol of the company, but logos including Firefox, Burger-king, Pringles are just getting simpler day by day. I think that this isn’t the best way to upgrade the logo. Do you agree with me? Have a look at how the logo of Firefox changed over time.

The logo today of the Firefox are almost unrecognizable that it’s a fox. Isn’t updates here to improve something? Logo updates are just getting oversimplified. Why do they update the logo if it is beloved and adored by people? If you are interested, take a quick look! Do you know the reason why the logos are getting more basic? The companies wanted their logo to use professional and easy for people to recognize. At last, the companies decided to make their logos simple. Eventually, this became a new trend. Fire fox murdered the fox, the Pringles went bald, the Macdonald drew a M for their logo just to get along with the trend. This is the evolution of logos all the logos had become low quality and less complicated to achieve the trend. Some logos are worse than this. Some logos just changed the font or the color. Do you think this is even a change? Have a look at the before and the after! Look at the logo of WARNER BROS it had a high quality and is a 3D logo, but suddenly it changed to a low quality logo just with a W and a B in side a blue icon. Isn’t this too over simplified?

Companies update their logos quite often to attract consumers, right? However, lots of people doesn’t like the simplified logo. Companies often think the simpler the better to recognize. Instead, people can’t recognize the logo because they got used to the original and aren’t familiar with the new logo. Another reason is that simplified logos look very similar to each other and doesn’t stand out, so it’s harder to recognize. According to PR Newswire, show that 80% of people likes the old Facebook logo, but only 20% of people likes the new logo. Professional designers also critiqued the redesigned logo of the idea of shifting colors. In addition, people who generally hated the new logo posted memes and comments about the new logo. Despite the fact that old logos are better, still, there are some logos that people prefer the after version too! For example, “Taylor’s” and “Lord”. As a result, logos are one of the most important part of a company. These days, lots of logos are getting oversimplified; people has some likes and dislikes on logos. Some prefer the new and some prefer the old version and the consumers opinion on the logo will make a huge impact. To get more advantages and not the disadvantages, in my opinion, I think it’s better for the companies respect the consumers opinion and update it to their ideal. One day, I hope the trend ends and the logos find their own colors again.
